Psychoeducational Testing
Sometimes we need more information about our children to help us be better parents and support them in school. Psychoeducational testing can help provide that insight.
I specialize in comprehensive psychological testing & evaluations for children and teenagers. If you feel that your child is having difficulty at school or home and may be struggling with a learning disorder (e.g. dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, or other psychological & cognitive concerns, please contact me to talk about how psychological testing could be helpful.
An assessment can help determine if your concerns are more than just typical developmental issues or a lack of academic skills, for example.
What Psychological Testing Includes
Each assessment is individually tailored to help answer your question(s) and includes some basic core elements:
Diagnostic interview to get background and history
4-6 hours of face-to-face testing (intelligence, academic, executive functions, memory, cognitive processing, and personality)
Several paper-and-pencil questionnaires & behavioral checklists
School observation (if applicable)
1-2 hour feedback session to discuss results and recommendations
Please contact me if you’re interested in psychological testing. I’m happy to answer any questions and help determine if this is the right next step for you and your child.
